Twenty years ago, EFE-Jordan set out to help young people find their place in Jordan's workforce. Since then, it has reached more than 47,000 young people in every governorate of the country, Jordanians and refugees alike.

Women have been at the heart of this work, making up 70% of participants. More than 400 young people with disabilities have also taken part, a reminder that opportunity should be within reach for everyone.

As Jordan's economy has changed, so has EFE-Jordan. What began as job training has grown to support young people in many ways: finding employment, starting a business, freelancing online, or continuing their education. Programs span technical and vocational fields as well as information and communications technology (ICT), so young people can choose the path that fits their goals.

The results speak for themselves: more than 80% of alumni have been connected to economic opportunities. Behind that number are real stories, of people landing a first job, launching a business, earning through freelance work, or going back to school to open new doors.

“Today is a celebration—but also a responsibility: to build on what we have achieved, grow our reach, and expand our impact so that even more lives, communities, and futures can be transformed.”

— Ghadeer Khuffash, CEO, EFE-Jordan

EFE-Jordan is looking ahead. As technology changes how we learn and work, the team plans to bring more emerging technologies into its training and to reach even more young people in underserved communities.

What stays the same is the approach: listening to what young people and employers need, adapting training to match, and creating real routes into work and income.

Congratulations to EFE-Jordan on 20 years of serving young people across the country. We are proud to celebrate this milestone and excited for what comes next.
